Trot Your Globe Class Terms and Conditions

Virtual Terms of Use & Mandatory Class Entry Procedures

  1. Ensure that your account/username is titled according to the name you submitted upon payment so that our tech-team can grant you access. Otherwise please provide your instructor with the name you used to pay, so the tech-team can add it to verified list.
  2. Should a member wish to use their Zoom on their laptop/ devices to access the class, the onus is on the member to obtain the class access ID code and password from our class facilitators to access the class, they will also be expected to inform the instructor if their user names don’t correlate.
  3. As a participant/ member that opts for clause A(2) above, please ensure that your zoom account name is the same as the one you provided when you booked the class (please ensure that the Trot Your Globe™️ instructor or meeting host has confirmed your booking).Please ensure that the name submitted on the mobile app during the account registration, is the same as the name on your Zoom account. This is in case you wish to access the class through a laptop and not straight through the mobile app.
  4. When you log into or access the class, please try to do so 5 minutes before the class starts.
  5. Should you access the class you might be placed in the waiting room until the procession of the session. Use this time to adjust your device so the instructor/ psychologist can see you, and to adjust your volume for the music if you’re attending a fitness session (in some classes, music will playing while you wait), click on ‘join audio’ to hear the sound. Should you encounter any troubleshooting, please just send a message on the chat window and the relevant Trot Your Globe™️ tech-personnel/host/instructor will assist.
  6. Please note that late participant/ members, might not be admitted immediately, they might be in the waiting room until such a point that the instructor or our technical assistance is able to admit them. All late-comers can expect to wait, up to 5 minutes to be admitted into the class.
  7. The video of the participant/ members, host and everyone attending is to be activated at all times. This ensures that all who are present are participate and mitigates the risk of screen recordings/ stalking. Please note that only the ‘Trot Your Globe Technician’ may disable video, this is the instructor/host’s soundcheck device, and is used to identify and address technical issues. The group psychologist(s)/ host of the session needs to be able to see you as clearly as you see them. Instructors need to give participant/ members guidance on the safest way to perform the workout that the participant/ member(s) might be struggling with, and the psychologists need to be able to engage with participants in a way that feels transparent for all concerned.
  8. Users pay for the month in which they wish to access our fitness classes. The full price for the package they wish to enroll for, will be payable despite their joining date.
  9. In the case of a free event sessions, please email the name, surname & email address of friends/ family members that you distribute the event ID to, so that they are added to the RSVP/Booked list. Once the Trot Your Globe mobile app is made available, those that received a distributed entry code will have to also sign-up through the app and reserve their space by checking into the event too.
  10. Participant/ member may not record other participant/ members during the online fitness classes, mental-wellness or any Trot Your Globe™️ virtual session. Participant/ members may only take screenshots of themselves only. Trot Your Globe™️ may record public events.

Virtual Mental-Wellness Terms and Conditions
For attendance to all of the Trot Your Globe™️ Mental-Wellness for corporate group-sessions, participant/ members consent to the following:

  • The group psychologist(s)/ host of the session needs to be able to see you as clearly as you see them. Instructors need to give participant/ members guidance on the safest way to perform the workout that the participant/ member(s) might be struggling with, and the psychologists need to be able to engage with participants in a way that feels transparent for all concerned. The video of the participant/ members, host and everyone attending is to be activated at all times. This mitigates the risk of screen recordings/ stalking. Please note that only the ‘Trot Your Globe Technician’ may disable video, this is the instructor/host’s soundcheck device, and is used to identify and address technical issues.
  • Adhering to Trot Your Globe’s no-recording policy during mental-wellness sessions that are booked and paid for by clients or members, whether virtual or physical.
  • Playing their role in creating a safe and inclusive space, where members can trust one another to be transparent in expressing themselves, and be afforded the opportunity to receive optimal guidance by psychologists. This includes respecting the thoughts of others, and refraining from mockery. The participant/ member will keep their video on during the online mental-wellness, to promote transparency.
  • Exercise discretion and confidentiality, so that all members know that whatever they say or how they act during the group-counselling or engagements offered by the Mental-Wellness department, will not be discussed outside the group.
  • The facilitator may discretely advice that a participant/ member seeks assistance upon indications of self-harm.
  • Not to participate in the distribution of footage from any mental-wellness session. Recording of the mental-mental-wellness is strictly prohibited. No pictures of participant/ members may be taken during the corporate mental-wellness sessions.
  • The participant/ members acknowledge that the use of mental-wellness online sessions inherently bear the risks associated with online usage, such as connection interruptions, technical difficulties, unauthorised access and breaches of information which cannot be fully controlled. - The participant/ member will therefore report any suspicions of unauthorised access and will guide the facilitator on any technical errors that he/she may not be aware of. - Please take note that only one ‘Trot Your Globe Technician’ with a disabled video is permitted, this is either the instructor or host’s soundcheck device, and is used to identify and address technical issues. - The participant/ member and the member will ensure that they use a secure internet connection (free public wifi)
  • In the case of experiencing thoughts of suicide, depression, homocidal thoughts, abuse or any other topic they struggle with and cannot discuss in the group. The participant/ member acknowledges that they may seek one-on-one sessions and that it’s their responsibility to further request it from the psychologist.
  • The participant acknowledges that their participation in the group mental-wellness session is of a voluntary nature. They may exercise their right to refrain from any engagements or discussions.
  • The client agrees to book Trot Your Globe™️ mental-wellness only through the administrative staff.
  • The client may not book psychologists or instructors contracted by Trot Your Globe™️ with the expectation to hold Trot Your Globe™️ responsible for the quality of services received, if the psychologist or instructor is booked in their private capacity and not through Trot Your Globe’s staff. The client acknowledges risks in booking instructors and psychologists privately. Trot Your Globe™️ will not be held liable for poor service delivery if bookings with audit-trail/emails do not exist.
  • Trot Your Globe staff, facilitators and independent contractors perform their duties with the necessary caution and care, however it is the responsibility of participant/ members with underlying medical conditions to obtain clearance from their doctors first. Trot Your Globe™️ will not be held liable for injuries sustained.
  • By attending our mental-wellness sessions, participants & members acknowledge that they have read the above, and give their consent to fully comply.
  • Arrangements for Missed Classes

    Should you be signed to a ‘three classes p/week’ membership, and miss some classes due to unforeseen circumstances, you are allowed to attend the additional number of missed-classes by attending more classes per week than the attendance-plan you’re on.

    This arrangement will be made under the following terms and conditions:

    1. Catch-up sessions may only be attended in the same month as that in which they were missed. This means that classes may not be caught-up in different months to the month that they were missed. I.e if you missed three classes in the first week of May, you may only catch-up by attending three additional classes on the May timetable to make up for lost ones. You can’t catch up in June.
    2. The member’s aggregate number of missed classes may be caught up through the available classes already on timetable, if a class is not on the timetable it can’t be arranged as a catch-up class.
    3. Arrangement is made by emailing class facilitators (mailto:classes@trotyourglobe.com) and alerting the relevant instructor(s) once approval confirmation has been received by the member. The onus is on the member to alert the instructor so that they can access the class successfully.
    4. Arrangement with the instructor in whose class the member intends to attend, should be made 2 day(s) or 48 hours prior to the class, so to that the instructor can reserve space in the case that maximum class capacity is reached, and also in order to alert the technical team that’s in charge of access control
    5. The onus is on the member to follow-up with Trot Your Globe’s team on info@trotyourglobe.com if they haven’t received a response or access details.
    6. The members will not be able to participate in the catch-up class if the class is at it’s maximum capacity of one hundred people per class.
    7. Please note that no catch-up classes are attended in the subsequent month(s), and no additional classes will be created over and above the classes that are already on the timetable. Members are to catch-up within the same month that the missed the classes and within the available timetable.
    8. The member is encouraged to find out if there have been any adjustments to the class, which might have been made to suit the fitness levels of the regular attendees (members that are booked for that time-slot ahead of time, might have agreed on adjustments with the instructor).
    9. The members shall adhere to the norms or adjustments already made in the catch-up session.

    Terms of Conduct & Class Rules

    1. Mutual respect and fair treatment of everyone partaking in the class is of primary importance, any member that fails to exercise this duty may be asked to leave the class.
    2. All members must complete and sign Trot Your Globe’s health-form before attending class, this is a screening questionnaire that assists us with providing services relevant to your health.
    3. Every member is encouraged to check with their healthcare provider before starting a new fitness program, and to ensure that they do not have physical health risks. The onus is on the member to ensure that this takes place and to ensure that they communicate it to the instructor.
    4. Each member needs to ensure that 5-10 minutes warm-up of muscles takes place in the event that they arrive late for class.
    5. Members need to ensure that they remain hydrated while exercising and carry sweat towels
    6. Classes are for members only. Visitors’ access is arranged with Trot Your Globe’s class facilitators mailto:classes@trotyourglobe.com and with the instructor.
    7. Members are expected to abide by the rules and terms of use above.
