Welcome to the Trot Your Globe™️ virtual fitness classes Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section! We’re thrilled to answer all your questions and assist you in your fitness journey.

    Which time zone does the class timetable on the app calendar correlate with?
    The classes-timetable on the app calendar correlates with SAST, which is two hours ahead of coordinated universal time (UTC +02:00) or the South African standard time, for the classes that take place or go live outside of South Africa.

    Who can join these classes?
    Anyone over the age of thirteen can join our virtual fitness classes. Persons under the age of 18 need approval and consent from their legal guardian, by submitting a ‘guardian consent form’ made available when you email our class facilitators (click here)
  • Why haven't I received the confirmation email?
    • If you have not received the confirmation email, check your promotional or junk mail folder. Some email systems flag confirmation emails as promotional material, which may automatically place confirmation emails in the junk mailbox.
    • Please note that some users have reported troubleshooting issues with @icloud emails.
    • We encourage users to sign up using a different email.
  • How do I view the class/ fitness-event timetable for this month?
    You can view the timetable on our app, which can be downloaded from the iOS App Store by clicking here, or from the Google Play Store by clicking here. Our agents can also assist you with the booking process if you email them.
  • How do I join for virtual fitness classes or book using the Trot Your Globe™️ website (this website)?
    Navigate to the 'Join Classes' tab.
  • Scroll to the membership package you've taken interest in, and select 'join. You'll be prompted to pay for the relevant class.
  • Alternatively, you may complete the 'request quote' form and we will send you a quotation with the payment details once you submit the request.
  • How do I sign up for the virtual live classes on the app's calendar?
    • Navigate to the classes tab inside the Trot Your Globe™️ app,
    • Select any class that hasn't taken place yet,
    • Click on 'request booking'.
    • Check your emails: Our class booking team will contact you via email. Payment is made on our store (navigate to the cart icon above, to view the store), or you may request alternative payment instructions.
    Once the booking process is complete, your classes will turn blue instead of the current grey colour. For any further questions, email our class facilitators .
  • How do I know if my device will connect?
    Apple Device Compatibility
      To check device compatibility, please review the following:
    • iPhone: Requires iOS 8.0 or later.
    • iPad: iRequires iPadOS 8.0 or later.
    • iMac: Requires macOS 11.0 or later and a Mac with the Apple M1 chip.
    Android Device Compatibility
    • Any device that supports Android OS 6.0 or later
  • Which classes are available?
    We offer a wide range of virtual fitness classes, including DANCE FITNESS, YOGA, BODY CONDITIONING, STEP AEROBICS, BOX STEP, FUNCTIONAL TRAINING/HIIT, ABS & CORE, PILATES, KICK BOXING, TONING & ABS, and MIX IT. See the description of each below:
    • DANCE FITNESS
      You don't need to be a dancer to enjoy this class. Mentally travel across the globe in one hour through Trot Your Globe’s most loved dance-fitness classes that burnt the most calories at 2020’s Women’s Health Fit Night Out
    • YOGA
      Enjoy yoga techniques from experienced yoga instructors, a short relaxation session at the end of the class is the ultimate catharsis. Breathing is essential to life, and we focus on breathing techniques during the relaxation in the last 5-10min of this 45minute class.
    • BODY CONDITIONING
      Strengthen various muscle-groups, tone your abs, glutes, inner & outer thighs with a full body workout that aims to tone your body
    • STEP AEROBICS
      From a variety of Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced step classes, enjoy upbeat music with universal step moves
      Varying between beginner, intermediate and advanced step classes. Members reach target of 4 000- 10 000 steps in a 1hour LIVE class.
    • BOX STEP
      This class combines kick-box techniques during a step aerobics class.
    • FUNCTIONAL TRAINING/ HIIT
      High intensity Interval Training
    • ABS & CORE
      Tone your abs with core-strengthening exercises.
    • PILATES
      Strength and flexibility techniques are used to tone your body and various muscle-groups.
    • KICK BOXING
      This class is made up of martial arts techniques, we infuse boxing moves and various kick moves together, which benefits the core, quads, glutes, biceps and triceps.
    • TONING & ABS
      Abs classes focus on various workouts that engage your core and define abs . Members get to also specify which part of their bodies they'd like the workout to be targeted towards, during some the toning sessions.
    • MIX IT
      Mixture of different class variations in 1 hour, between i.e: 15-25min Dance, 15min Body Conditioning, 15min Step, 10min Pilates.
  • How much do the classes cost, and what membership-packages are available?

    We offer different price packages for our virtual fitness classes, which can be viewed on our 'pricing' tab where discounts are available. Please refer to the price list available under the Join tab on our website.
  • If I join the online/virtual classes in the middle of the month how do I pay
    If you join our virtual classes in the middle of the month, you pay for the month in which you wish to access our fitness classes. The full price for the package you wish to enrol in will be payable regardless of the joining date.
  • What fitness equipment do I need to do the classes?
    To fully participate in our classes, we recommend the following equipment, which is also available for rental (currently limited to Johannesburg-based members, subject to stock availability):
    • An Aerobic Step
    • Small Pilates Ball
    • 2X 1kg dumbells
    • Yoga/ Pilates Mat
    • Hip Resistance Bands
    • 3x Jumping Ropes
    However, members are also welcome to use their own equipment if they deem it safe and fit according to their doctors' advice.
  • Why can't I hear the instructor after entering the class?
    If you can't hear the instructor, click on the "Join Audio" or "Mute" button at the bottom left corner of the screen after entering the class. You'll be prompted to select "Call Using Dial-in/Wi-Fi/Data" to hear the audio during the class.
  • How can I view the class on my TV from my device?
    Certain cell phones and laptops can wirelessly display the class on your smart TV screen using screen mirroring or screen casting. Alternatively, you can use an HDMI cable to connect your device to your TV. Here are the steps to apply for each option:
    • Apple’s air play
      Open the Trot Your Globe™️ app on your phone
      Connect into a class
      Swipe up from the bottom
      Select the “Airplay” button
      Swipe down to return to the Trot Your Globe app on your phone
      Enjoy
    • Android’s Chromecast
      Open the Google Home app or Chromescast on your phone
      Select “Home” then tap on “Cast screen/audio”
      Tap “Cast to (YOUR WiFi NAME) Open the Trot Your Globe app on your phone
      Connect into a class/ Join the class
  • What fitness level do you need to be for Trot Your Globe™️ classes?
    Our variety of classes is suitable for various fitness levels. Instructors are trained to demonstrate alternative techniques/exercise moves that accommodate different fitness levels.
  • Can people that wish to retain their muscles also join, i.e body builders?
    Yes, they may. Some of our classes use dumbbells, and members are encouraged to buy weights that correlate with their fitness journey, provided it is safe to do so and is advised by their doctors.
  • How does the song voting work?
    On the Trot Your Globe™️ app, click on the heart to vote for songs you like or click the broken heart for ones you don't like. Our class DJ will create a mix or playlist from the most loved songs.
  • Where can I suggest that my personal favourite workout songs appear on the song votes?
    You can email our class facilitators and our class DJ will consider it. If it doesn't appear within a month, then it wasn't selected. Please remember that our aim is to play songs that top charts and are generally favourites in the country of origin.
  • How I cancel my subscription from the mailing list?
    You can either click "unsubscribe" at the bottom of each newsletter or email our support team (click here) to request cancellation.
  • What if my connection is poor?
    If you're using Wi-Fi, reboot your router 30 minutes before the class and ensure that other devices in the house aren't connected to the same Wi-Fi to prevent a slow connection. Alternatively, switch to a different connection available (either your mobile data or connecting to an alternative Wi-Fi safely available to you).
  • Trouble getting your account registered?
    Don't worry, we're here to help! After inputting your details, make sure to review our terms and conditions before ticking the accept terms and conditions box. This will allow you to proceed to the second stage of registration where you'll confirm your details. Afterward, you'll receive a confirmation email from Trot Your Globe prompting you to confirm your registration. Once confirmed, you can proceed to the mobile app and log in with the details you registered.   • REFUND POLICY:
    Trot Your Globe maintains a no-refunds policy for virtual classes and studio classes. This is because our instructors and supporting team are booked for specific class days. However, refunds do apply to corporate company bookings (B2B only) where 50% is refunded upon cancellation, and the other 50% becomes a gift card. Please note that cancellations must be made within 3 days from the purchase date to qualify for a refund. If you'd like to request a quote, our team will be happy to assist you. If the purchaser does not redeem the 50% gift card within 31 days of communication, then the 50% will be forfeited. If you have any further inquiries, please contact the Trot Your Globe team, and we'll be happy to assist you.
