International Men's Day

International Men's Day is an annual global event celebrated on November 19th to recognise and celebrate the positive contributions that men and boys make to society. This year's theme for International Men's Day 2017 is "Celebrating Men and Boys," and Trot Your Globe (Pty) Ltd aims to do just that, while also being mindful of the challenges that men face in today's society. Our objective is to highlight positive male role models, which we achieved through running the International Men's Day Competition and Fitness Event.

As we reflect on the obstacles men face, such as the high rate of suicide (which is three times higher among men than women), lower life expectancy (69 years compared to 74 for women), and the discrimination fuelled by stereotypes about their intentions towards women, we celebrate and honour men and boys who are making a difference.

Congratulations to our Competition Winners:

We are pleased to announce the winners of our competition,Kerisha Singh & Mpho Lebona, who won our grand prizes. All they had to do was to submit characteristics of their favourite men to win gym bags and other awesome goodies.

Trot Your Globe's International Man of the Year:

We are delighted to honour Mo-T from the South African band MiCasa as Trot Your Globe's International Man of the Year. Mo-T and his band have become a leading source of inspiration for many men in South Africa, both young and old. We extend our sincere gratitude to Mo-T for his contribution towards positive male role models and inspiring other men to be their best selves.

In conclusion, International Men's Day is an opportunity to celebrate the achievements and positive contributions of men and boys to society while also addressing the challenges and obstacles they face. Trot Your Globe (Pty) Ltd remains committed to promoting gender equality and empowering men and boys to reach their full potential.
